On Vacation

I am currently in Arizona, and I am having a blast! Between black light spinning class, and hiking up Camelback mountain yesterday, and ending the day with ice-cream and a very old movie, which was the original version of "The Woman." I will be posting photos shortly of my trip, but for now here are a few photos I decided to edit while on the airport, because my flight was delayed a good few hours, so I needed something to keep busy!

Summer and The Livin's easy.

Yesterday was an amazing day, I took this attractive man with me to Hot Yoga, and I had the best view out of everyone in the class, so I am going to gloat about this for a good minute or two right now... (Gloats).

I could not harness my inner chi, so to speak, because Yoga yesterday was one giant giggle fest, and if it happened again, I would best not be complaining, because I havent laughed that hard in a bit.

I hung out with my friend Becky last night, which ended our night at Steak and Shake. However, before that, a website designer who lives about three minutes away from my house came over for a consultation about my website he will be designing for me, which made me ecstatic, considering im website illiterate

And earlier that day, I found out LADY GAGA AND KANYE WEST will be touring together while I was on my way to go to spin class with my mother. I need to see that concert and the JET concert, or else! Also, I found out that you can buy clip in bangs...So I took the liberty of ordering myself a set.

As for photography, I'm going to shoot some more portraits, and continue my work on pattern in the world, but this time digital, so I can get some colors and etc.

MEIKO

"Boys With Girlfriends
"

When I first met you I knew you were the one
'Til you took me home and I met her
She had your boxers on
She was listening to your song
And I thought right then that you had everything

But I knew she was jealous from the start
Yeah
I knew she was jealous from the start

'Cause I know better not to be friends with boys with girlfriends
Oh
I know better than that
I know better
You play the victim and I'll be the bad guy
I know better than that
I know better

Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh

Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh

We started hanging around after 9
I could've sworn that I was yours
You looked at me and said, "It's a little too late for bed"
We went to the hotel and talked about everything

But I knew she was jealous from the start
Yeah
I knew she was jealous from the start

(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
'Cause I know better not to be friends with boys with girlfriends
Oh
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh)
I know better than that
I know better
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
You play the victim and I'll be the bad guy
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh)
I know better than that
I know better

(Ah)
'Cause what she did to us was tragic
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh

(Ah)
And I have to do what's right
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh

(Ah)
What we had was really magic
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh

(Ah)
But I have to get what's mine

Oh
What's mine
I'll get what's mine and you'll get yours

'Cause I know better not to be friends with boys with girlfriends
Oh
I know better than that
I know better
You play the victim and I'll be the bad guy
I know better than that
I know better

(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
I know better not to be friends with boys with girlfriends
Oh
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh)
I know better than that
I know better
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
You play the victim and I'll be the bad guy
(Oh oh oh oh)
(Oh oh)
(Oh oh)
I know better than that
I know better that that

I know better not to be friends with boys with girlfriends
Oh
I know better than that
I know better

UP

I am currently watching UP on my mac notebook, and may I just say that this movie is so sad, but amazing at the same time. Mr. Fredrickson may be the cutest animated character I have ever seen in a Pixar movie. And those balloons in the film, they are so vibrant, too bad he did'n t make balloon animals or something, I would have tried to jump through the screen to get a Mr.Fredrickson creation, sadly I am not joking.

I also really want to see The Hangover, it looks hysterical, so I might end up seeing that tonight, but who knows, first thing is first I need to go workout though, get ready for Summer time. bleh.

In the mean time I'll try to think about what I want to photograph, and find some inspiration.

Definitely, Maybe.

What if the person we give up, is really the person we are supposed to be with, but we simply choose the other? I always wonder if when I turn someone down, to date someone else, if I am making a huge mistake, and lately I have been fortunate to realize this many times. I would have thought I learned my lesson by now, but ehhh, I got a lot of years on these tires, but think about it, what if all your what if, and maybes, really should have been a definitely, positively, 100 percent yes.

the way I look at it though, is what is life, and what is yearning without realizing all of our choices, and the regrets that come along with them.

We would not be human if we had no regrets,
and the best way to learn is to make mistakes, and if you are like me, you will make that mistake more than once.

Chicago.

ZEE AVI

So this song somewhat reminds me of a former boy in my life, and the singer is actually very good.

ZEE AVI, I 100% recommend you to either download or buy her album.
Poppy

My baby he don't act like himself no more
He lost that smile I use to adore
He spend his nights slapping his veins
He lost that glow he used to have on his face

Empty, burned bottle on the carpet
My baby lying beside it
Tin foil and melted sugar everywhere

He said his provider was his pharmacist friend Ben
I swear I'm gonna kill him because
I swear I'm gonna kill him because because because

The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me

My baby used to repeat the news
And now he talks about dragons on the wall
Used to love German expressionism films
Now he drinks until he falls

I was confused, didn't know what to do
So I called his momma, had her come on over
She got him off the ground, started slapping him around
And now she cried, she said she said she said

The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me

The poppy took my baby away from me
The poppy took my baby away from me

Nature Vs. Man

I worked on multiple exposures on paper during the Spring Quarter at school. I was trying to show man Vs. Nature in a way that was a little bit to forceful, so I decided to just work on this project independently on my own time. I was trying to show that at times we destroy our environment to help mold our Earth into something we as a society feel needs improvment, even when the Earth can provide everything that we will ever need in life.

Two Hours To Go

So I am currently at the Admiral's Club, located at American Airlines, waiting to board my flight, which is at 8 o'clock. I am as antsy as ever to go back home, work out and sleep in my own bed. Even though I am sure my dog will sprawl out in the middle of the night, somehow taking over my spot, and I will eventually end up on either half on the bed, or on the floor, but it's okay because I love my dog, he is the best man in the world.

Let me just tell you though, 7 suitcases checked, and 4 or 5 carry-on bags, made me come to the conclusion I over packed, and that I need to learn how to under pack, because when I get home I am going to just have the *joyous* of times putting all of my things away.

After this long day, of a 4-5 hour drive from Savannah to Atlanta, and then a 2-3 hour flight from Atlanta to Chicago, I'll have almost a 4 month Summer to help me recover and enjoy from an interesting year.

Society At Its Finest

“That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "Fuck you" right under your nose.”

Pattern

So its offical, I finished my photo final, and all the last minute rushing an details will hopefully pay off. For my photo final, I had to create a topic proposal, and since this is me here, I obviously changed it about less than two weeks before my final. I ended up photographing how humans are very pattern oriented creatures, and how when the pattern is broken, we often at times do not realize this, since we are so used to the pattern that is always followed. However, there are select individuals who see things, and do things very differently then the rest of the crowd, these are the rebellious individuals who do not want to do as others do.

Finals Week

With five days to go until my first year at college is over, it is nothing but trying to meet the deadlines for final week. The Pressures on, and I love it. I have a few more prints to work on, and then I am officially done. Only four more months until I get to go to Lacoste, France. The change of pace will be good for me, this will be just the sort of thing I need to free my mind, and to just be myself. Four months seems like such a long time.

Painting Our Expressions

I had to create cheap at home studio lighting, and I did not really feel like taking photographs of still lifes, so I face painted on my friends, and had a blast. Not only did I use paint brushes, but I also finger painted, only some of the paint didn't really wash off my hands that well, until the next morning atleast. But all I got to say is, my friends went to waffle house at 3 A.M with their faces done like this, that's pretty gutsy if you ask me.
